At Finca El Mirador, Jairo Torres and his son, Andres Torres, uphold a tradition of excellence in
coffee production. Located in Huila, this family-owned farm encompasses two plots: San Agustin
and Terra Nova. With meticulous care and attention to detail, they cultivate a range of coffee
varieties including Castillo, Caturra, and Cenicafe. The farm, purchased by Jairo in 2004, spans a
significant area, with Andres venturing into his own plot called Terra Nova. Employing sustainable
practices, the Torres family oversees every aspect of production, from cultivation to post-harvest
processing.
Family is at the heart of Finca El Mirador's operations. Jairo's wife, sons, and other relatives
contribute to the farm's success, each playing a vital role in its management. From food
preparation to maintenance, their collaborative effort ensures the farm operates smoothly
year-round. During harvest season, their workforce swells to accommodate the demands of coffee
cultivation.
Jairo Torres, a key member of the Productores del Futuro project, leads coffee cultivation at Finca
El Mirador in Huila. Alongside his son, Andres Torres, Jairo oversees the meticulous production of
high-quality coffee on their family-owned farm. As a prominent figure in the Productores del Futuro
initiative, Jairo exemplifies the dedication and vision of Hula's coffee producers. This collaborative
project, comprising 25 member producers, aims to foster stronger ties between farmers and
organizations like The Coffee Quest while ensuring a consistent supply of premium coffee. Jairo's
